There is this whole thread started by the director…which has gaalis/abuses in it througout all the pages… effectively encouragement of posting abuses and ‘stars’ by one of the management..
and then there are mods and admins flipping out at certain members handing out points like candies…even without saying anything wrong.
if you have a policy of zero-tolerance about using profanity why don’t apply consistently…
and request to the suck ups…Please make your presence felt (like most feedback threads)…
why were all of you participating in that thread??
Now please explain/justify/defend this double standard in your most proper/authentic/legal language…
and whats the point of it all......when mods are told to implement the policy.......becharay keep editing all starry/profanicous posts......... and keep having to answer back to the memebers........ when their own bosses are doing all that??
and the fact that it has been allowed to stay up all this time......leaves no doubt that the management stands by this........ so i would just like to see their response to this ''attack''/''accusation''

They are gs members first & then BOSSES :D..... according to them ...
I am not going to give a like to OP but some how I tend to agree with couple of things he mentioned in his post .
I am not going to name the thread ( not TLK's thread ) but I did report the posts and waited for few days before writing this up ... And as suspected , All in vain !!!
I fail to comprehend this profanity policy of yours too ! where a senior Administrator thinks ( without learning the context of the post ) Sala is a bad word and should not be used on a family forum like GS ... but on the other hand , another administrator uses foul language and thinks there is no harm in doing so ..
General Policies shouldn't be changeable/modifiable as per the liking and disliking of Administrative group - they should be same for all !
Regarding TLK's thread, I just want to clarify that it isn't any of my mods' fault that there was a delay in handling that thread. None of them were happy with it and were awaiting my decision. I take personal responsibility for it.
ugh.. instead of locking up tlk's thread, i think gs should seriously stop this whole new push towards being all zero-tolerance coz i said so nonsense. half the fun around here is about silly jokes, and if everyone has to run their posts thru a scrubber before posting or risk bans etc, we'll end up with more versions of cafe. speaking of which, are we ever going to revive the old general forum, or gonna keep pretending all-views is it?
Yes actually I don't have any comments on total and complete zero-tolerance as such. I believe adults must be allowed to hang loose. The only problem with some people is that when you give them a finger they grab the entire hand... doesn't sound good in translation, but you get it. And so we need to establish policies. However, implementing policies is sometimes wicked and sometimes sweet. And sometimes totally unnecessary. Unfortunately not everyone thinks like everyone else. Bohot complicated philosophy [not the guppan] hai when it is actually quite simple.
Having said that, I hate for someone to think we have double standards. This time, it was my forum and I was answerable and I did with the best of my ability. TLK is a member first but by virtue of his position, obviously he caught attention. We had a lot of mods pointing fingers at this thread as well. I had to make a decision and let's put it this way, it was my fault.
NomiCA, you have to realize that we are not living in the times of Khilafat-e-Rashida! It's better not to expect things on such a smaller level (that is, on an online forum), which are hard found in our collective political history of last couple of hundred years too, but we should not lose hope either.
With hope in mind, as a member to this community, I can see NikSik's reponse should suffice to resolve this issue. A pure realization has prevailed from what I sense of the outcome. I believe this is the purpose of feedback, isn't it?
