Desi girls in this day and age apply make up as if it was a scarce commodity an it should be used all at the same time.
Note to all women: Do not use so much foundation that it falls off as you walk. Caking it on helps no one.

Re: Whats with the clown make up?
Lol haha, this made me laugh, i totally agree. I know this one girl far relative shes dark skinned but slaps on the lightest foundation that does not go with her skin color and you literally can get your finger and run it down her face that's how melted it looks. its horrible
I use concealer and mineral powder on top :)
Re: Whats with the clown make up?
Yeah the yucky Kim Kardashian style make up...so off putting.
Re: Whats with the clown make up?
Have seen girls (non desi) who had so many foundation applied on their faces, they had orange faces ![]()
Re: Whats with the clown make up?
I have to agree with you. The whole caked on look is not doing anyone any favours. I’m pretty fed up of seeing this, as these girls don’t need the make-up but still feel the need to put it on. WHY??
Also what really ticks me off is when I see them wearing caked make-up when they go to the corner shop - you DON’T need it!!! ![]()
P.S. I wonder how long it takes to apply…
Re: Whats with the clown make up?
Sadly I look better with clown makeup than without.
Re: Whats with the clown make up?
I wear foundation and concealer and powder everyday - people think im wearing no makeup haha - i wish!
Re: Whats with the clown make up?
I agree that "caked on" makeup does not look good on any women. But...in their defense...here are some thoughts:
1) Some girls (especially teenagers/college students) are just starting to get into makeup...and in their "experimenting" phase and are still learning what looks good on them/what they like.
2) Believe me when I say this....trying to find a foundation that makes perfect is a nightmare for some women! Some honestly just give up OR they're "matched" with wrong colors by sales peoples...and of course....their friends/family never bothers to tell them to truth (I'm actually guilty of this!). Let's be completely honest....if you saw a friend/family member or co-worker or neighbor wearing the wrong shade of foundation.....what're the odds that you would actually tell them that to their face?
3) As for women who apply heavy makeup (a lot of eye makeup, blush whatever)....I know this may be a shock for some.....but there are women who wear makeup because it makes THEM happy. They're not concerned about how others perceive them. They put on the makeup....they themselves like what they see in the mirror...and they're content with that. Being visually pleasing to others is not their #1 priority.

All of this.^^
Re: Whats with the clown make up?
cake is only good when it's chocolate :p
Re: Whats with the clown make up?
or maybe they do their make up in a dark room where they can’t see the brightness of colors ![]()
happend to me once was at a friends house and room was really dark and did not have good lighting so after i finished i went to the bathroom and almost had a heart attack looking into the mirror.. washed my face and re applied in light ![]()
and yes i have told a friend that the foundation color is off.. me telling them doesnt mean they listend to me.. she jus said ‘oh it is my skin color’ and walked away.. ![]()
Re: Whats with the clown make up?
I am trying to quit makeup. ![]()
I only wear it for social gatherings…otherwise everyday…nothing now.
I have noticed that technique is far more important that quantity when it comes to makeup.
Re: Whats with the clown make up?
I don't know how to put on foundation etc. and I've never even tried. sigh
Re: Whats with the clown make up?
Actually this is another reason! If the lighting isn’t good…its very easy to NOT realize how much color you’re applying or how intense it is.
Re: Whats with the clown make up?
same here.i wear lots of kajal though.
Re: Whats with the clown make up?
i'd like to add one: PLEASE dont wear wear a maroon/magenta/or any dark pendo colored lipliner, with a lighter lipstick shade! its horrifying, reminds me of early haloween, or chola girl.
Re: Whats with the clown make up?
Not the women on GS though. We are all very perfect
.
Re: Whats with the clown make up?
i don't wear much makeup in the first place, the texture of foundation felt so yucky on my skin and plus i can never find a shade that matches. i just wear concealor, mascara, eye liner, lip color and at most some foundation but i hate wearing it. I'm still learning how to apply makeup
but i try to get an even skin tone with natural remedies and drink lots of water so i can get my skin/skin tone to look nice naturally without makeup, if that makes sense. i love my skin color so i don't want to mess with a whole lot of unnatural products
Re: Whats with the clown make up?
note karvaate raho hum toh waise bhi foundation use nahin karte…the only makeup i juse is eyeliner and lipgloss i lob eyeliner ![]()
