I watched Danishs debut international match against england in pakistan last year and he took his maiden wicket by giving pakistan a break through, though pakistan lost the test and the series…
in sharjah, his perfomance was not good but not dismal too as he played only one match there....he became the `man of the match'against bangladesh ,when they played in pakistan and now in the very recently finished test match against bangladesh,in bangladesh he took 7 wickets in the second innings and paced up pakistans victory.....(he bagged 2 wickets in the first innings)..
Danish, who is a very good wrist spinner may become a spear head for pakistan in the future and he yields an amazing turn from the wickets...i think ,he should be given more chances to play in internationl crickets...(Danishs relative Anil Dalapat had also played for pakistan, but in just one match against india in Benson and Hedges series, Austaralia in 1985)...
one of the draw backs with him is,he flights the ball very high usually and that makes his balls exteremely vulnerable for making shots by the batsmen very easily…but if the ball is allowed to pitch, that maeks the destiny of the batsmen
…
whats ur comment abt his bowling and his career as a player for pakistan…comments are welcome
Anil Dilpat playing only one match, i thought he played much more matches.
Danesh Kaneria is a great bowler, he certainly outplayed saqlain in dhakka but the real test will come from him against westindies and pakistan's tour outside the subcontinenet.
Lets hope he is not like harbajhan who only has tendency to take wickets inside India.
Flighting the ball is important for a wrist spinner because most batsman read the spin off the pitch rather than off the bowlers hand. Kaneria doesent turn the ball as much as Qadir or Warne but his height give him a bit of an advantage.
He is a good young prospect but he needs to spend more time at the Academy in Lahore so he can add more variety to his bowling and spin the ball a bit more. His fielding is also pretty ordinary and needs work.
I think he will become a star in the future but its important to take it easy with him and play him in occasional games instead of thrusting him in front of world class players before he has fully learned his trade.
Either way both him and Shoaib Malik have more committment that Saqlain Mushtaq any day of the week.

yes i agree with u..but i am having a slightly different opinion in terms of his spining ability..i think spins very sharply....(but i also agree that i did not watch his last test)....
he entered in the pak team as a player of Habib bank and lets hope he will get more chances and make his future prosperous...
sorry Kabir, this thread is meant to discuss Nani Danis bowling and not his religion…and it is not a good sign ,mixing sports and religion…(i think u understood)
u mean mushtaq ahmed?of course he is a great bowler ,but Nani Dani is a growing player… and what i hope is ,his position as a key player in pakistan team…
moreover, pakistan has never been a destitute interms of natural talented players…and its great to see Danishs entry to the international cricket…
Out of 98% of muslim population, we give chances to the minorities too.
Unlike our silly neighbors, 20% of the country is muslim and only 1 is playing for the international team. (zaheer khan)

We don't think in terms of religion or region.
There are 28 states in the union and 11 slots in the National Team.
At one time, 5 out of 11 were from Karnataka, a south Indian state.Viswnath,Prasanna, Chandrasekhar, Roger Binny etc.,
Even now three of them Srinath and Prasad and Rahul Dravid are from Karnataka.
So it has nothing to do with eiother religion or region.

sorry mydear friend.................we have many minority players......
Azhar was indias captain.........and he was a muslim........now in the present time we have Zaheer khan,Tinu Yohannan,Wasim Jaffer(he played one match),then another muslim player.....9do not recall his name ).......so we have so many lists............in the old era too we had so many minority players.........
but just remember.............mixing sports andreligion is not a good sign
he's a great spinner....
i see him shining bright in the future....
a couple of years later, he'll be a force ro reckon with....
a great find for pakistan....
and a good replacement for mushi....
he needs to learn some batting though....
the kid cant even hold the bat right....
Danish is a fine player and he will be even better if he learns to control his flighted deliveries. I still think he has a long way to go befor we should compare him to Saqlain or Mushtaq. Saqlain is one of the best spinners of all time. So is Mushy.

Danish Kaneria is showing reat promise, but the real test will be how well he can consistently bowl against tougher sides than Bangladesh. Let's re-evaluate him after 3 or 4 test series against serious opposition.
