Re: whats up with desi’s and dua
t- lets keep the west on a side for a while. (i dont live any ghetto area, so i just had experienced them once and they actually scare the hell out of me :)…so instead of doing anything…i actually )
but its about us…its like you giving someone gift and you receive nothing
everywhere in teh world people keep track of the gift they get (he/she gave me this, spent this much money. and now i also gonna give him/her the same amount gift)
…BUT THEY NEVER TOOK DUAs seriously…Y?
y they dont take it as a BUSINESS?
I agree. I think it’s a menace on a bigger scale than just limited to ‘desis’ as you say. It’s the same way everywhere. I mean look at bums here, people often think of them as lowly. Sometimes for right reasons, but still we have given rise to this stereotype within ourselves that makes us distinguish who we think is worthy and/or who isn’t. We go as far as to convincing ourselves and giving justificaitons for our attitude by saying something like, ‘Oh he/she should’ve studied when he could so he/she wouldn’t be at this stage today’.
I totally oppose this thinking. I think if you’re unable to help someone, just apologize in a humble manner, ask for Allah’s forgiveness and get on with it. You just simply don’t know how that person got to where he/she is. So respect for all, hate for none should always be the rule of the thumb but it’s not.
Now for the first part of your query, Duas. Again, it’s wrong to feel so ‘deserving’ of receiving the duaas that you just don’t thank someone in return. But not all are like that. Most people i have come across or know, do show gratitude.
May Allah guide us all towards the right path, give us the ability to correct our behaviors and acts, and live and act in ways that are more pleasing to him.
