Some soup at a Lebanese resturant. It was weird. Dont remember the name or even what was inside it. All I remember that it had alot of "cream" that tasted awful.
BTW, I love liver. My mom cooks it sooo well, yummmy!

Gosh, I love calamari and shrimp. :D The most hideous thing I've eaten is raw fish ... as in sushi. Can't swallow the stuff.

i didn't read the whole thread but did anyone mention ants ? One of my nutritional anthropology profs threw a dinner, for all of the students, at his home. We were told to bring one dish. i brought samosas. One of my classmates brought a bowl of dead ants - literally. She said she got it from our city's China Town... there do exist societies around the world that eat dead/alive ants for their apparent protein properties. i looked at the bowl but i didn't have the courage to eat that...some of the students did. i don't think my professor did.
^ That's what you get when you take an anthropology class with a bunch of hippies.
omg who—me i got to hand the trophy to you bro
thats just too funny

HMMMMMM i once drank a bottle of household dilluted bleach when i was a kid
and nothing even happenned to me… :queen:
and i’m told i used to love picking up matti [sand] from the ground and eating it as a kid… apparently, a lot of kids have this habit… :Pagri:
I said karailay earlier but now i remember that i once (accidently) ate dry cat food, it tasted salty but weird.

do finger-nails count? :o .. hmm i don’t think i have eaten any weird stuff maybe atta (still in powder form).
Yeah, the stuff they eat in Fear Factor is just nasty.
The weirdest things I've had to my recollection (and some are actually pretty normal by most people's standards) - foie gras, shark fin, chicken feet, cow tongue and brain - which was surprisingly yummy. I had no idea what I was eating in all instances except for the chicken feet until it was too late to change my mind. Foie gras is by far the most foul thing I've ever tried to ingest.
I love calamari, lobster, crab, and prawns. I'm not a big fan of sushi, but it's not that weird - in fact, I happen to have just had some the other day - maguro, toro, and ebi are still very much edible IMO.
And what's the weirdest thing you've eaten, shahreen?

Piss saturated animal organs.......yum.

shahreen those would be the kidneys..right..not the liver
One of the stranger things that I have eaten is alligator, tried to eat eyeballs once, got grossed out had to spit most of it out.
but nothing can compare to one of my pals who is married to a woman from ghana, as i told him about brain, and ojjri etc, he calmly said that the sranbgest thing he has eaten were spicy fried monkey hands.
i disagree ![]()
I don't eat strange & wierd things.
Fraudia, you're right. Aren't kidneys organs then? Should've paid a bit more attention in biology.
yep kidneys are organs, unless u are a fob and were trying to spell kid knees :) which i dont think is the case
This Ojjri business sounds very disgusting yet tasty. Still i doubt it's any worse than the stuff they probably put in Doner kebabs sold throughout the UK.
Squid's probably the weirdest thing I've eaten - it's nothing to write home about.
Fraudiya Eye balls??? :barf: What on earth could make you do that??? Am about to throw up at the mere thought of eye balls in someones mouth.
The only internal organ that I have/can eat is the liver. Thats it for me. The weirdest thing I have eaten? Well it isn’t weird for most people. I finally got myself to eat shrimps. Not bad. I’m very cautious when it comes to food and don’t usually eat anything without a thorough inspection.
Xtreme what do they put in doner kebabs in UK?
I don’t know what they put in doners. I don’t want to know either, it’ll probably put me off eating them for life. ![]()
Actually what I can say is that it's impossible to make them at home because I've tried. The lamb tastes pretty much like ordinairy lamb boti. Whereas doner meat is totally different texture. I'm pretty certain that the missing ingredient is probably saturated and congealed fat.
X, how did you try making it at home? England has the most amazing doner kebabs. I don’t care what they put in it … ![]()
