I had camel meat when I went for Hajj too, it's tastes okay actually.
Never thought I'd see someone call kaleji and shrimps as "weird" :-o
Anyway, a few years ago... in Singapore, I was invited to a Japanese place. When I told them "no pork" I was guided to the sea-food buffet... and to my horror, couldn't see any decent edible "cooked" fish. Anyway, ate a bunch of different stuff... and later found most of them were, what are called delicacies.. like snails, fish eggs, calamari etc.
My Room-mate’s cooked food which he refers to different known dishes like Biryaani, Qourma etc.
Only if he doesn’t tell me, I would not know what are those dishes :-/
Some insect I sucked in through my nose while sleeping. I woke up in shock...but it was too late by then. I dont know what it was...could've been a spider.
That was few days ago.
drunk shrimps
Gosh, I love calamari and shrimp. :D The most hideous thing I've eaten is raw fish ... as in sushi. Can't swallow the stuff.
Irem I know how you feel, seeing Ojjari before its cooked is even worse though, by the way whats it taste like? ![]()

I'm with ya on that one. I hate sushi. (And I only started eating cooked fish recently.) I'm not a seafood person. No shrimps, lobsters or the likes for me.
Other than that, I tend to stay away from unfamiliar foods. I'd rather stick to things I can recognize (and like eating). Yes, I'm boring.

Yup me too :-D
Weirdest would be kaleji which i've eaten more than few times in childhood but can't seem to swallow it now. Never tried sushi and don't think i want to now :-/
Irem and sharabi - ewwwwwwwwwww
Raw Lobster meat - it was allright. a little chewy perhaps.
Alive shrimp - as it sqiggled in my mouth. ate one as a challenge. didn’t wana do it again. ![]()
I really don’t wana call liver, tongue, brain, gizzards, sparrows, quails, as weird. They are normal food for me.
If you ever get a chance to eat 'katakat' in Karachi do...You can tell the cook what to exclude, but the default parts in a 'katakat' are from a goat and include liver, testicles, kidneys, trachea, brain and some meat...It's one of my favourite dishes...
As for ojjri, everyone in my family detests it and have never eaten it, but I love it...I remember in my college days this patthan tthailay wala used to make it hot and spicy outside my college and for 2 Rs. a plate, you could enjoy a plate full of the stuff, with a roti (for 1 Rs. extra) if you were really hungry...That's where I picked up my preference for ojjri...I would eat ojjri in a heartbeat...
And not to mention on two rare occasions I have had the distinct misfortune of having consumed pork, mistakenly of course...It was a bad experience as it tasted to me like cow meat gone bad and then cooked in a gallon of asli ghee at low temprature and served raw...It has a very disgusting taste...
A few months ago, my dad brought home deer meat from Zabeeha (meat store). I was shocked that they sell that. Extremely hypocritical of me, but I couldn't eat it. Even though I have no problem eating chicken, I just could not bear the thought of eating a deer. The image of Bambi kept coming into my mind. Now, I have difficulties eating lamb cause of how cute they are. I have no problem eating chicken though. :D
I can never watch the eating contest part of Fear Factor. They eat the nastiest things .... yuck
i hate to admit this but it actually tasted good ![]()
