is this heat new?
Pakistani schools continuing the final semester into the Summer? I heard something about it on the news the other day but not sure if its all over Pakistan or in some schools only?
Sorry, just procrastinating, hence the random threads. Why would they do that? If I was a parent, I wouldn't send my kids to school in that heat, when they're supposed to be off. Azaab hai kya!

If Pakistanis could they'd have the children stay in school till 11:00 PM but to no avail. Kids study so much yet the quality of education is crap in Pakistan.

“Us” not “them”. My brother and I happen to be one of “them” so no need to get offended if I’ve pointed out our nazakat!
My sympathies lie with those who have to work in that heat, those who can’t afford the basic necessities which I thought was very clear in the thread with the example of the kisaan I gave? Koi mushaqqat karvani hai kya apko Pak le ja kar jo itni jaan ja rahi hai?! Why should I pity anyone for being lazy bums at home that has all the comforts one could need Alhumdulillah?

im not saying don't sympathize with those who live there, they deserve the sympathy/empathy... but I hardly think it's fair to criticize anyone if they choose not to put themselves in that situation. That's all I'm saying. Chill.

Fair point, Sara, I guess I just expect my praa to toughen up a little and drop the negative attitude because it could always be much worse. Sorry my post came across as harsh criticism but in reality kafi pyar muhabbat se baat samjhayi thi usay or wo samajh bhi gaya =)

i agree it isnt much fun even with half days…i dont think I would want to send my kids in that heat either
