iskaa matlab hotaa hai k buri nazar na lage. its considered [and i do NOT believe in it] that black torn chappal is like a magnet that attracts all misfortunes and keep u safe/healthy/wealthy...its all superstition

Re: What's the little chappal about?

Ive never seen it. Picture wicture hai?

Go here: Decorated Vehicles in Pakistan | Weird Pictures, Wonderful Things and scroll down to the photo of the guy squatting down by the bumper skirt. There is a little chappal attached in the middle.

Re: What's the little chappal about?

Thanks for the picture. Yes, i think its for buri nazar. So that evil eye wards off.
Im not sure why they use an old chappal.
I know the colour black is use to ward off evil eye. People use bands or a small dot to help
stop nazar. When children are born, they are usually made to wear black bands, with 3quls blown on it, so that the colour black(associated with evil) reflects back evil, and it doesnt effect the child.
Even in elders its the same.
