:halo: this topic is derived from the recent malaika-arbaaz controversy. Gosh, i can’t believe they did what they did…i mean how low can these people get. They signed up with some skin cream company and before its launch the company, with the unfortunate consent of the couple, went ahead and spread the news that arbaaz is divorcing malaika and getting married to some other girl. Just because on their launch they were to have that special ceremony with arbaaz marrying malaika again…like wohoo big deal. Just in oder to gain some publicity they went for such a cheap gimmick. Do you guys think it was was ok and not a big deal? Would you do something like that?.

Lying and deceiving does not make the money or getting a position worth to have.... To each on his own... we should just try to avoid such things ourselves... everyone these days seems to follow their own defined set of morals...... we sometimes do not even know what's the truth because truth often disguises under the cover of so many lies...

^ yes, true! but these things really disturb me. Everyone around seems to have no more values or even self respect which is so not good for the whole world.

In the end, people have to live with their own consciences and if they believe that they would be able to do so with the types of decisions they make, then it’s really difficult to argue with them over the morality and ethics of their decision.
I’m not familiar with the story that you’ve highlighted… but I can see how someone can justify their actions by noting that this is what the public wants… gossip… scandals… that’s what sells today in the name of entertainment – and the actors are just playing to the tune of what the audience wants. It’s really a “slippery slope” and this sets a really contentious precedent for others to follow suit.
