Karishma Kapoor's family decesnts from Kashmir... (gorgeous), and I have a friend who is from Kashmir who is just alright... I guess just like us some are good looking and some arent.

What's a gol nose??
Ever seen pics/movies of Karishma Kapoor in the early years of her career? bushy eyebrows, kind of broad nose, strange looking. She's had some work done. Her lipstick is often extended past her upper lips to create the image of fuller lips.
Many actresses have had some tweaking done to their featurers.
I'm a Punjabi. I have olive skin tone. I've also seen Punjabis with fair and darker skin tones.
As far as the topic of the thread is concerned...............there are attractive/average/not so attractive people in EVERY ethnicity/race. You can't say that ALL goras, blacks, hispanics, Arabs, Asians Europeans are attractive. You will find some that are...........and some that are the exception to the stereotypes. That's the answer to the question.......that all of us ALREADY know.
what i have heard about kashmiris is their gol matol nose....ya...they have a fair complexion but gol nose as well...

haha so weird!! my kashmiri friend always complains about her sharp features..her nose shape is like kareenas/katrinas.. its really not that beautiful but still she IS GORRGOEUUUS!! but yeah she told me that kashmiris are famous for their noses lol..
but it doesnt matter if you havent got the most perfect features! khoobsoorti comes in all colors and shapes!! ;)

If it’s based upon the idea that fair skin means pretty…well, in that case, there are darker skinned Kashmirs…AND…there are lighter skinned people in other cultural groups as well. Here’s a pic of Kashmiri women. They’re not fair skinned. And whether or not they are “pretty” depends upon the beholder’s eyes/perceptions:

I was addressing the topic of the idea of every single member of a particular cultural group being considered attractive......in that the idea is not reasonable when common sense and even observation will tell you that 1) Not every member of any cultural group will be considered attractive 2) Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I'm really not trying to be a hater but I think Katrina Kaif is a very average looking women. Even with all that make up... she just looks average to me. There is nothing special about her. Most bollywood women look absolutely amazing, why she doesn't is beyond me. I cant imagine her without makeup. Isn't her nose sorta crooked? IMO She has a very masculine body, broad shoulders, tension in the jaw line. Maybe she just hasn't grown on me...

I've heard (don't know if it was on TV...or perhaps read it somewhere) that the Kapoor family has roots in Peshawar, Pakistan.

UGH......can't stand Kareena. Everything about her face and facial expressions is just soo...."in your face." Rani is cute...still like Kajol better. Deepika is attractive. And people may think I'm crazy but I think Konkana Sen is cute. There is something attractive about the the structure of her face, although she too, is not considered a beauty by desi/conventional standars because she doesn't have the fair skin and is more curvy. Just goes to show, beauty is in the eye beeholder.
