What's the best way to transfer photos from old phone to new?

How do you transfer photos from the old phone to the new? Or do you have someplace online that you save them to?

SD card? Hook it to the computer (usb) and from comp to new phone?

Re: What's the best way to transfer photos from old phone to new?

I went to the ATT store and they had a heck of a time transferring my phonebook, but they can't do photos. But they suggested Samsung Kies, which is some kind of cloud-like thang. I am downloading the program to my laptop, and then I guess I back-up the one phone to the computer/kies/cloud-thang, and then I restore to the new phone. We shall see how it all works.

If you have the Galaxy S3 you can just put the phones back to back and click a button :)

It's a Captivate Glide and a Galaxy Note...I don't think it will work. Might even be against the law in certain southern states of the US ;)

Re: What's the best way to transfer photos from old phone to new?

ok, so I didn't figure out how to do the deed using the laptop as an interface, but I installed the free Kies Air app on both cellphones, and then I went to the gallery, tapped send via, selected Wifi and then selected all, then I hit send. It asked me if the other phone was the destination, and I said yes, and then it started to work. But it was hard to tell if anything was going on, so I did the process again. After awhile, looking at the gallery, I could see the pics getting splattered a few at a time, as if by magic, into the "Share via Wifi" folder. TOO COOL! (And very Islamic -- no unmarried mobiles touching each other...:p )

However, then, because I had done it twice (or was it 3 times...), it started sending them all over again. So now I had duplicates piling up! So I cut the Kies on both devices, and deleted the "Share via Wifi" folder and am redoing it -- being patient this time and not sending double signals. Next I'm going to see if it can transfer apps.

Kies Air doesn't work for apps, but it works just great for photos!
