Jaanwar is right. Seriously, would you like it if the guy mentioned how much he did your family and used it as a way to guilt you into doing something for him.
Also I would highly recommend you edit out what you said. We got a lot of ****ing jahils here who will judge you on something they may not understand.

That's why I said "pseudo." It gives you boys the option of adding machismo to your sometimes thoughtfulness. Plus, there's no expectation that the thoughtfulness will be repeated at regular intervals.

Men listen to logic more than women. So, just tell him that there are somethings that he is really good at and somethings where you might be lacking and that is why you married him and this is one of those things and that you know that he loves you and he would do it for you because if the roles were reversed you would have done the same for him.

i am a pretty logical person and my best friend has always told me that logic does work with most men....most :p not all
btw is that the sign that a man loves a woman, he would anything for her especially such things that would mean a lot to her? and they wouldn't torture by being so stubborn about it.
all men are different jut like all women are different,nothing similar is there just because you share that level of testosterone with each other. he never gives a reason why he has such an arrogance towards them

men don't bend a bit for somebody they might love, i've done so many things that i personally wasn't comfortable doing for him, i've totally tried to blend in with his family when they went on trips. they are very different from me but still i act like them for him. he never reciprocates.
wish they had a "unlock the male mind" book, i would memorize it

well i have thought about that, i see how other men are with women they love and it's nothing similar to the emotional pain he makes me go through. i know every couple's situation is different and can't be compared but the way my brother loves and treats his wife, the way my friend's husband is with her, those relationships seem so easy compared to the mountain i'm trying to climb just to get one thing done out of this particular man.
thanks for talking to me about this. it did help me understand my situation a little better. i've done everything to compromise to make this work.
