i hear horror stories on babies who if you do not burp them after feeding, can vomit out their milk and god forbid start choking on it etc, so it scared me into making sure she burped even if it took ages, sometimes she doesnt…and i end up with worry frowns…so should they always burp…my MIL said its not that imp, sometimes they wont, but im not too sure…any info?
Your MIL is right.. sometimes babies dont... but you should gentle rub her back for atleast 5 mins so that food can pass down the way. And the best way put her on your shoulder, so that her chin is above your shoulder... and pat her at the back.
congrates on ur little one
salaam...... im mother of three litle angles my new baby is two months old ,,, i fed her both bf and formula ...and ihave to burp her both ways ...in begining she wouldnt burp and fall sleep between feeding so i have to put her down but then start crying caz milk was bothering her ....may be be it was not in all the way ...so she start spiting milk some time digest and some tiime not ....but mashllah she is doing good ,,,,,gaining weight.....but bottom line is do try to burp ...caz its the air when the babies drink milk goes into their stomache that comes out ....so u may be feel after burp she want more milk .....mine does. so it probably would take 10 min or more little more ..but be patience,, when u ll learn to know, how to burp her it will be easy thing ...and she ll be quicker too as she 's growing...keep up .the hard wok ..
hey guys i was wonderin how r we supposed to burp the baby if they sleep while BF or BB... as it is my baby is extremely colic and wakes up atleast after 15-30 mins of sleepin becus of gas pain. and if i dun put her down after BF or BB and continue holdin her uprite she never burps.. she HAS to b awake to burp
also nadz i guess it depends a lil on whether ure BF or BB. if ure BB i think its absolutely must to let her burp.. i dunno if i m rite.. mine is BF and BB both
