Re: What’s that name?
ok got it! went to target today. Its called Downy Wrinkle Releaser http://www.downy.com/products/wrinklereleaser.shtml
Re: What's that name?
Don't know of a product which completely makes the iron obsolete....
(wish there was such a thing..)
Perhaps Downing wrinkle whatever softens clothing to the point that a quick steam is all that is necessary... but steam with an iron or a simple hand steamer...your still ironing out creases don't you think?
I located a great-great grandmother of mine on the 1870 U.S. and 1880 U.S. census. Her occupation was listed as washing and ironing!!! Can you imagine washing with a washboard and ironing with an iron heated by a coal stove those big long dresses worn back then? A hard life I think... She lived into her 90's!! She died in the early 1940's. I think about her alot. She lived through the industrial revolution...from the days when having to light a gas lamp for light at night ...and write letters to communicate to distant counsins...till the days when just about everyone had electricity, telephones and even automobiles.
