What's next?

paid off the house
put money away for kid’s college
put money away for fair retirement

so why should I continue working in a job?

I’m good at it but don’t love it anymore.

Advise?

Re: What's next?

Theres always bills to pay and an extra allowance for kids/bivi :D

Re: What's next?

this is what bothers me - I've got another 25 years at least before the so called 'retirement' age but already lost interest in rat race! GOTTTTA find something worthwhile and interesting to do!

Re: What's next?

Well if uve got money saved up n stuff n have enough to live on for a while then I say quit ur job, take a break. Take time off and find out wat u love to do.. does ur wife work? how old r ur kids?

Re: What's next?

You've worked for yourself and your family all your life. Now be a good being and work for people less fortunate yourself. Help out with your community locally or internationally. Plenty of places around the world that could use a solid pair of hands.

Sincerely,
Captain Lota

Re: What's next?

^^ just the suggestion i was going to give..

or since ur experienced.. dono what is ur field.. bt how about doing a training for those who are lookin for expereince..

like we students.. cant becum Chartered Accountant withought workin for a qualified Chartered accounting firm, but sinc we have no expereince.. its hard for us to find a job.. so if we got sumone.. espeacially muslims opening a accounting firm whre other muslims can cum and get expereince.. that would give us a head start..

Re: What’s next?

The more money you make before you die and decompose, the more money you’ll be able to pass on to your children to give them a firmer footing in life and allow them to put their kids on an even firmer footing.

Re: What's next?

Allah has given you so much at such an early age for a reason. Muahahahahaha

Re: What’s next?

very well said.

moreover i would have done things that would have enhanced many other aspects in very different circles of life.

like u could invest this money to make more money n invest more money to do things for the people .

like shaukat khanam is one of the examples.

may allah help u.

Re: What’s next?

That was evil.

Re: What's next?

Sara - I am thinking of doing that - meaning, take some time off and figure out things (and yes, my wife works too)

Captain - I agree with you completely. I spoke to my daughter (mid-teen) and she says I'll be good at teaching young children because (she says) I have lots of patience. That sounds good since I love taking care of kids and playing with them. So I told her may be I should start a elementary school in some village and she says that's a good idea. Only concern is I'll have to leave the US for that but guess that's ok (I have to convince my wife!)

Cheebu - my field is management science (corporate planning & technology strategy in particular) - But I've gotten bored with it
