Living abroad is not a joke. You have to sacrify lots of things. One of which is PTV dramas. I loved PTV drama before I came to US.
So please help me reducing the stress and tell me whats going on TV in our country now.
I have heard that now there are 4-5 channals for 24 hours. How are they ?
to kon kon se interesting and ache drame is waqt dikhae ja rahe hein. Please name them with little description. I will try to buy those dramas from Videa shops here in Chicago.
Some time I feel so home sick that I can’t tell you. These dramas,shows, nazmein, ghazlein and geet waghera help me a lot at that time.
When someone is already on the ground, he can not fall any lower.. thats the case with Ptv.
No, there are not 4-5 channels, they're two and a half. the (so called) "private" channel is 24 hours. ( its not private, 70% shares owned by the government.)
numerous people have tried to start satellite channels, but have badly been discouraged by the government, who has been having a complete control over all media, and nawaz shareef the king would not even care to listen even a slightest whisper against himself.
the best drama is the 9 o'clock newz. in the time of mughals, the kings likedto hear "kaseedas" or poems of praise for themselves, wfor which they granted money to the poets. khabarnama is comparable.
Lighten up jewels. All the dude wants to know about are the dramas. Jewels you have a wonderful gift of poetically expressing your inner feelings, but, let your outer self over shadow your inner self and trust me you have the potential to be someone.
uicdoc : I have ZEETV and TVASIA and they dont seem to be into Pakistani dramas, I wonder why ? the day Pakistan comes out with a satellite station, I will drop ZEETV and TVASIA like yesterdays bad habit.

The time that you talk abut has long passed by... theres been a lot of water under the bridges.
there was a time when Tv dramas cold set standards.. change public opinion, spread awareness.. mould the public attitude into whatever shape they liked.
Theres been a halt since.
a halt in the nations mental growth. a complete halt!
Another problem that Ptv has been facing is the invasion of stellite, breaking ptv's monopoly.
Ptv is hanging...
hanging between two kinds of audeinces,
the ones watching it on satelite, usually including the middle and uppermiddle class pakistanis in and outside pakistan
and the lower middle, and lowerclass pakistanis, which make about 75 percent of the nation, who live in villages.
Ptv has been confused about which audience it has to vater.. and as a result has been coming up with shameful "islamized" and "pakistanized" versions of the ideas stolen from the satelite.
