i want to know whats latest trend in terms of dresses …back in pakistan
i mean is it short shirt /long …???
trouers r in…or no …???
n what about embroidery …???
is there a trend of light embroidery on sleeves n around neckline …or heavy one …???
actually some of my relatives r coming to visit us …n i want to make some dresses for them …but i’m not aware of wat’s latest …n i don’t wanna ask them as i want to give them a surprise
n by the way …i want to make some formal dresses …sort of party dresses …but not too formal like for wedding / other ceremonial types
now i’m looking for help …if any of you can post some pictures to tell me whats latest …i’ll be very thankful

My mum just came back from pak last month so my friends and cousin got designed my clothes so thats how i know so dont totally depend on wot i said ok.
i'l try to take pics of my clothes for u lol but tell me wen r ur relatives coming so i can do that before they come :)
Afia....ager pak jaanay ka plan hay or weight problen nahi hay,then you may find a lot good ready made stuff in stores,and don't try to go expensive botique because almost same desighn is available other marketes too at lower price but same materiel.And yes i am talkin with my own experience:D

Afia, if you don't mind me saying something but I have noticed too often that majority of our people tend to go with the fashion industry of the mass and are not original.
When I was a teenager and was in Pakistan there was no Kameez and trousers worn but once I wore a jean pant with a short shirt/kameez and doopta, wow everyone stared and thought i had gone nuts!! haha I had come from US and was missing my jeans lol.. now everyone is wearing the same... kameez trousers are 'in' and are quite normal.
But I think that you should go with your own ideas, what you like, i mean I hate nothing else as when I am in pakistan and all kuriyan are wearing the same .. sooooo boring. Please be original and bring your own ideas .. who cares if people will look. Now that everyone is wearing trousers I am boycotting them and making 'normal' light salwaars that are somewhat slim and tighter then the original salwaars.
I like nothing more as to make my own style ... unfortunately I dont have much time to sew or give much time to fashion but if I had, I think I would have really come up with my own creations ... then getting it done by the tailer.

thanks for reply ....i think you have a point there ,....but personally i'm a dull woman .....i can wear whatever i like .....last time i was in pak n i saw everyone wearing tang shalwars ....but well i didn't feel it comfortable so i asked my mother in law that i don't like these n i will wear the normal one
but this time its not for myself .....n i want to sew something which my guests would love to wear n not just dump i their suitcases n give it to some masi etc......coz they don't like it
no i don't have anything against 'masis' etc. but i want to spend my time for my relatives n i'm gonna sew it coz of my love for them so i just don't want to feel i've wasted my time .....n honestly i don't have much time but its my love which is motivating me to do something :)
anyway i got some ideas frm my thread in cafe .....so its ok now :)
btw , where were you ......i think u r here after a month or so ....??? :)
