Its usually opaque material on the inside kameez (which is very short) and then a layer of sheer flowy fabric on top..cream shalwars are IN with everything...I was in karachi 5 days ago =) and everyone's wearing capri's..(mid-calf) and long kameezes.
The constant fashion is a mid-length kameez..with a round daman..alot of piping and embellishments on the dupatta =)
i was there about 1 year ago... and i would say that this kinda fashion would depend on which part of karachi youv'e been staying at... even 5/ 6 yrs ago u could go to gulf and see girls wearing sleeveless stuff with jeans and whatnot... lekin you'd never find that in the gulshan... even till last year; clifton/ defence and the sort were the only places where you'd find such fashion... not once did I see a girl wear anything remotely similar in tariq road/ millenium, ppl are still a tad bit conservative in those suburbs. So unless things have changed drastically in 1 year, i'd say that fashion is heavily dependant on your locality within a city :)

Short shirts are totally out. Opt for long kameez lengths and straights trousers. Well I recently visited Islamabad and mirror work is totally out. Dabka and all that is completely out of fashion. Coin work is in.

I agree with Gina. Capris are also in. I think they suit slim girls like me ;) Capris and straight pants look funny if they are really loose. Fitted ones look better and that's how ppl. in Pak. seem to be wearing.

People if you are opting to buy some kaam wala clothes, lemme warn you heavily embroidered clothes are totally out. Go for nice light embroideries.

Are you sure, cause I remember coin work and mirror work came out together, one of my suits from last choti eid had coin work on it.
I didnt like both mirror or coin work.
