What's in Your

Purse?

I’ve noticed that my purse tends to get bigger and bigger. It’s not cuz of me becoming a mom. No. I try very hard not to carry my child’s things in my purse. If she needs stuff, it goes in her own backpack or something.

But now at work…I hate carrying a purse and then another bag for lunch. So I’ve been considering getting a larger “tote” type of carry-all that will handle both purposes. Unfortunately, totes are not very nice to look at and they don’t go with most of my outfits.

What do you do?
Do you switch between bags on weekdays and weekends? I mean other than for parties and dinners, etc.

Re: What's in Your

I have smaller purses for weekends/evenings and for work i have a liz claiborne bag that can hold my reading material, lunch, wallet etc as well. I hate changing purses all the time so this way i only have to grab the wallet.

Re: What's in Your

I am a purse/hand bag addict !!!!!!!!! I buy a new one almost every month. This habit has to stop !!!!!!!!

I usually like to carry a mid size bag. Something that can carry a small wallet and my sunglasses.

Re: What’s in Your

Whats in my purse? These days, its not enough money and a lot of plastic :bummer:

Re: What's in Your

I wish it was full of money :(

Re: What's in Your

cell phone, lip gloss, credit cards, keys, few bucks, 2 safety pins, and some change.

Re: What’s in Your

For school, it will be some notebooks and books , along wtih my camera, ipod, cell fone, lil bag of makeup (lip gloss, eyeliner n powder to touch up, eyedrops, contact case-in case eyes get irritated during the day, and glasses.. sometimes my umbrella (a tiny one, if its not raining too hard) and tissues (coz my nose is always runny :bummer: )

For shopping or going out, tissues, money, cell fone (ipod stays in jacket pocket) and lip balm/lip gloss

Re: What's in Your

Oh I have a lot of stuff in my purse: wallet, keys, cell, tissue, lotion, pens, agenda, special instructions on administering EPI pens to kids, lip gloss, shout wipes, hand wipes, business cards etc. I do carry a separate bag for my lunch, books, water bottle, but this is only when I go to work.

I generally don't switch my bag until it falls apart. It's only when I really absolutely do not want to carry my purse, that I slip some important cards, my keys and cell into a tiny handbag.

Re: What’s in Your

:frowning: :bummer: same here.

Re: What's in Your

Same here. I have yet to buy a bigger one...for time being, my small purse just looks like its gonna overflow.

I usually clean my purse every week..but I notice by the end of the week, I have too much paper mostly receipts, and ripped out paper filled with doodles done during lectures], lipgloss, phone, bus pass, and wallet.

Re: What's in Your

loads and loads of junk...

my purse is more like a book bag than anything else..
got my wallet, my keys, my current reading material, diapers, extra clothes for my son, baby wipes, ..rummaging through purse to see what else ...measuring tape, gum, pens, granola bar, juice box, cell phone charger, tissues and mail.. :D

and i do not change purses...i find it sooo annoying. half the time you leave half the things in the other purse..just one does it for me ...

Re: What's in Your

I barely switch bags for college, parties etc. Even if I do it's hard for me to fit everything in one bag. I always go out with this thought "what if I need this or that."

Let's see now...

Wallet
Mirror
Pen
Address+phone book
Mini note pad
Hand sanitizer
Hand lotion
Chapstick
That mini tool thingi I don't know what it's called. It's with all those mini screw drivers and stuff
Gum
Keys
Tiny perfume bottle

That's it.

There are a lot of kinds of tote bags out there Muzna baji. Some ugly ones and some pretty cool. Although they do look odd because of their huge sizes. You have to agree that it'd look odd if you walk into a formal party/dinner with a huge tote. So I guess we have to learn to not stuff our bags too much. Just think for a minute before heading outside and take out the things you might not need...for example, I'd leave out the hand sanitizer, lotion, mirror, and the note pad before going to someone's house for dinner party. This could help.

Re: What’s in Your

i hate carrying purses and am soo used to wearing jackets with lots of pockets.. unfortunately cant wear one here and abayas dont come with pockets.. so mom carries my stuff for me.. which is my chapstick and my hanky and mobile :cb:

for work, i usually switch between my small purse for when i dont have meets to a large portfolio shaped bag for presentations (dynamite sold them.. absolutely fantastic! i would throw so much in and it would fit everything.. and i had A LOT being a fashion student)…

but then i dont carry much personal belongings… just a hanky, chapstick, mobile, wallet and keys.
i HATE a cluttered purse.. !!

i think u should only carry only the essential stuff.. prioritize or something…

Re: What's in Your

^ I can't leave anything out. If I do..I feel naked! :D
