Sara, Seattle weather is a 3D weather. They just dont tell you weather of different regions but of different heights. So it could be raining at 500 feet above sea level but snowing at 1000 feet above. That makes driving and what not more unpredictable and slippery (because of hilly roads) than many of the east coast cities.
So what would be the first place u recommend visitors to go to? or rather, what area should they stay in?

^ depends upon what time of year they are coming in. If in summer, definitely Mount Rainier. Winter is little dodgy but still there are many streams, rivers and falls that they can visit.

We dont have many Mediterranean but you will find plenty of Somalian restaurants. We love their food. You got to try Chicken or Beef Suqar. We do have couple of Halal Chinese but we have many Cham/Vietnamese Halal restaurants, you got to try their food. Plus Indian and Pakistani halal restaurants are many.
Which are would you be staying in?
I am staying in Tukwila, close to Seattle-Tacoma airport.

^ Captain Mt. St. Helens National Park is a nice spot. It might be out of your way but hear its really beautiful( And by seeing travel channel documentary on it) :D
Also, Olympic National Park . These two places if your an outdoor, nature, wildlife person

Thank you for suggesting these, the Chinese place seems to be bit far from where I am, I am gonna try the Naan thingie tomorrow (hopefully) :salute:

I liked this place . Pretty clean & weather is good . The day I was there , they had cheese festival at farmer's market . Totally cool stuff . The also have the first Starbucks over there and an awesome teashop .

. But it’s bright and sunny nevertheless. Enjoy! They have great tandoori fish and tarka daal.

Capt1, Tukwila is home to many Somalian dhaba style restaurants. Most taxi drivers here are Somalian so they have their community bazaars and you see the men standing and gossiping around these areas just like our taxi waaley back home :D.
