What's in and What's out?

Salam everyone,

I want to get stitch some suits as i bought some kapras , but i want to know what’s is in fashion nowadays in Pakistan.

Can u people post some pics of the latest fashion in pakistan?
And what sort of kaam/embroidery(simple one) we can do with jar jatt type kapra ??

I really love frocks like maxis , so are they still in or some new fashion?
( If u can post some pics of different style of stitching frocks , it’ll be nice)

Churridars are in , trousers and salwars are out of fashion?
Coz, i dont want all my suit to have churridars

Well, i’ll be really grateful to you if u can help me

Thanks

Re: What's in and What's out?

I just came back from Pakistan in Aug, long kameezes/a-line dresses were everywhere. The majority of suits had trousers underneath, then some had churidar and barely any had shalwars (this is from the ready mades in the big plazas) I'm going back on Dec 8th, if there's been a change I'll update you.

Re: What's in and What's out?

Thanks Halima, I was waiting for someone to reply :)

U hav post a pic with ur eid dress and u sew it urself, so maybe u can help me more ...

Actually, i want to know which type of kaam/embroidery will look good with jar jatt type kapra? (i want some simple kaam)

I have watch the promos of Humsafar and i really like the way Mahira had stitch her suits, its simple and elegant.
I think something like that will look good. What do u think?

Thanks again

Re: What's in and What's out?

Heavy embroidery is no longer is fashion. I recently got back from Pak and judging from what I saw at a wedding and other parties is that no one wore clothes with heavy embroidery. Delicate kaam is in fashion.
Maxis, long a line shirts with coloured panels, a lot of *gheir, *churidars.
I would love to post pictures but unfortunately I don't share personal pics on forums anymore.

Re: What's in and What's out?

Can someone explain to me what gheir is? I keep hearing about it but have no clue what it is. Call me an angrez ki olad LOL.

Re: What's in and What's out?

flair i guess :)

Re: What's in and What's out?

Yes definitely, heavy embroidery/beadwork isnt in fashion, particularly on dupattas. I was a big fan of the heavy duppata but have totally swayed after all the suits that my in-laws bought me for my wedding. I think it looks more elegant. I've left almost all my clothes in pak, I will try to post the four asian clothes I brought back to give you an idea, they are everyday wear though.
