For some reason over the last few weeks the dry parts of my skin are getting dryer (cheeks) and the oily parts oilier (t-zone)… what’s happening? Could it be the weather change?
Can anyone recommend some balancing products
thanks ![]()

It's prolly due to the weather.. use 2 different products for the diff area's. Tea tree/with hazel toner will combat the oily zones and moisturize heavily on the dry/flaky area's.
Re: What's happening to my skin?
Vit E body shop cream for v v dry skin gets absorbed so damn quickly i dunno wot to do... G pls tell me a good moisturiser that keeps my skin a bit "cheekni" and moisturised for long hours(recommend somethin waterproof, for i read namaz and do wuzu so many times..
As long as u're skin isn't flaky u're using the right moisturizer.. u just have to re-apply it frequently.
Re: What's happening to my skin?
yeah i can apply it frequently but that wud mean i have to apply 4-5 times in a day atleast. this way ill finish up the whole thing so quickly!!!

Have you tried Clinique's Dramatically Different moisturizer?? Its yellow in a clear bottle. It totally gets absorbed in your skin w/o that ugly oily mask feeling and keeps you good throughout the day. Its the best!!! I use it after I wash my face in the morning and before bed.

I've started to use Clinique (for men) oil control moisturizer and its doing its job on my T-zone but isn't moisturizing enough for everywhere else, might give this one a go too.... is it a good idea to use two different moisturizers?!
Re: What's happening to my skin?
I would wash with a face soap bar, not any other kind of face wash and just apply the dramatically diff moisturizer afterwards if i were u. If ur super super dry (after a hot shower) use 2 pumps :)

soap on face? really? even as I guy I know that's a big no-no.... I've heard that even the Clinique soap bars can be quite drying....
Soap bars are a no no indeed! They strip u're skin of natural oils and dry it out :) Use u're regular moisturizer if u want.. and pat-off the the oily area's of u're face with a cotton pad soaked in tea tree toner. (The Body Shop has a great one)
Use a mild facial wash with micro-beads, Nivea recently came out with an aqua range for men which is fantastic!
Re: What’s happening to my skin?
Don’t use clinique!
That stuff is so drying.
Sounds like your skin is like mine and it going through a weird phase at the moment, and you need to concentrate on fixing the rough patches first.
Get this to soothe your skin
Centella Recovery Skin Salve | Kiehl’s Since 1851
I love this stuff.
I have combination skin and have tried many a product and I don’t think you can get something that moisturises and combats oiliness at the same time - when you think of it logically, it’s not possible.
I use dermalogica when my skin is more oily and then switch to a pharmagel cleanser and the centella recovery skin salve when it needs more moisture.

Let me tell you instead. Use good old fashioned Nivea in a blue tub, can't get greasier than that I tell you. Wash as many times as you please, it will stay put.
