Re: what's happening to me ?

[29:2] Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe," without being put to the test?

[3:179] GOD is not to leave the believers as you are, without distinguishing the bad from the good

[2:214] Do you expect to enter Paradise without being tested like those before you?

[2:216] ... But you may dislike something which is good for you, and you may like something which is bad for you. GOD knows while you do not know"

Re: what’s happening to me ?

^:jazak:

but itz not a test for me..

Re: what’s happening to me ?

Lol how do you know it’s not a test? Try to be sincere. Sometimes you get an amazing feeling during namaz, like nothing can put you down, but sometimes you don’t get that feeling. Continue to pray regardless and do more zikr.

Re: what's happening to me ?

^i know itz not a test bcoz what i have been praying for, i cant relate it to test if i get it or not..

Re: what's happening to me ?

He (swt) knows what's best. I want Scarlett Johannson as my wife, and I could make dua for that during every namaz, but I highly doubt a teenager would receive such a naimat.

You don't decide what Allah's (swt) tests are. That's like saying you are going to go to heaven or hell, you don't know that, and it's haram as you're interfering with His (swt) decision..

Re: what's happening to me ?

how did i interfere in His(SWT) decision? i don't know what His(SWT) decision is..am just praying for what i want...

Re: what’s happening to me ?

I gave an example, I’m not saying you interfered with his decision :smack:

This all reminds me of a hadith from Hazrat Ali (as)..

There is the one who worships Allah out of fear of His punishment. That is the worship of the slave.
There is the one who worships Allah out of hope of His reward. That is the worship of the merchant.
Then there is the one who worships Allah out of love for Him. That is the worship of the free.

Re: what’s happening to me ?

To reach that level requires alot of effort :hinna:..i am far behind that stage ..

Re: what's happening to me ?

I'm way behind it as well. Like I said, be sincere and do more zikr.

Re: what's happening to me ?

hmmmm...

“I still pray but it's something automatic, and I'm not even sure I still believe in it... Because I've suffered, and God didn't listen to my prayers. because many times in my life I have tried to love with all my heart, and my love has wound up being” by Coelho

Re: what's happening to me ?

We should pray more when it becomes harder for us to pray.

Just like exercise ... if we want to be able to run a marathon, then we have train by running and running, then when we eventually run the marathon we find it easier and more enjoyable.

Prayer is like this - extra prayer is like the training.

We should pray to seek reward, but there is a danger in this that we will lose interest if no reward is given. But if we try to pray because of the challenge and find solace in this and devote our prayer as love offerings then for sure worship will be like drinking water to clench our thirst. A good thing to do to train is to set aside a few days holiday from work preferably with someone else and fast those days. Almost like an out of schedule itiqaaf and see how this affects your ability to pray with 'feeling'.

Re: what’s happening to me ?

Pray to God and not trade with God. Thank Him for everything he has blessed you with. Remind yourself of your weaknesses, helplessness, and relativity in front of God who is Absolute, All Powerful & All Beautiful.

If you believe you have a just need then you may try the following:

[9:75] And there are those of them who made a covenant with Allah: If He give us out of His grace, we will certainly give alms and we will certainly be of the good.

…and always keep the following in mind;

[2:216] … But you may dislike something which is good for you, and you may like something which is bad for you. GOD knows while you do not know"

Re: what's happening to me ?

think for yourself. believe in what makes sense to you.

Re: what's happening to me ?

Surah 92 Verses 8 - 13

*8. **But he who is greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient.
**9. **And gives the lie to *Al-Husna;

**10. **We will make smooth for him the path for evil;
**11. **And what will his wealth benefit him when he goes down (in destruction).
**12. **Truly! Ours it is (to give) guidance,
**13. **And truly, unto Us (belong) the last (Hereafter) and the first (this world).

Re: what's happening to me ?

Stop banging on ancient books to try to make stuff happen.

Take control your of your life and do it yourself.

There is no god. Stop wasting your time.

Re: what's happening to me ?

Even your signature is hate filled. It proves you do not use your brain. You do not think for yourself , you stereotype.
Those of you who are wondering here is his signature which reeks of hate for a Pashtun Tribe.

Re: what's happening to me ?

Peace sharaabee

If you believe God does not exist then please explain why it should concern you so much that others believe God exists?

And if it is a matter of people wasting their time surely in your world view that is a good thing. While others are wasting their time you can get ahead. So it is counter-productive for you to convince "us time-wasters" to take control of our lives, or we may end up competing. Obviously you have control over your life and you did it all yourself. To you there must be nothing more wasteful than worship. You probably hate us "God believers" ... don't you think the world would be a better place without hate? That is the reason why you want us to stop believing ... so you can create world peace. No more religious people no more fights.

If we listened to you then what if you were wrong? If we were wrong it would only be a time waste, if you were wrong it would be a beating for a life time.

Re: what's happening to me ?

How can you be sure that his signature is about the Pashtun tribe and not the cricketer?

Re: what's happening to me ?

Then he did not think it through mistook it for Pashtun tribe so will many others.
