Most Turks are secular, and they don’t like the increasingly Islamic look the Erdogan is giving to the country. Some examples I find on the net are, alcohol ban, being a dictator, and Turkey’s involvement in Syrian conflict.

Basically, I think people do not like anyone be in power more than a decade. They get tired of seeing the same face. They want change.

Yes it seems as if the processions are being led by the seculars. It needs to be seen if the protests would die down or we have another Syria type uprising there.
