A couple of weeks ago this forum was full of the injustices being committed in Egypt and now there is no mention of it. Does that mean all is well there? Or is it that compared to the Syrian crisis Egypt is not important enough? Maybe it is a case of the popular media manipulating the mindset of the masses.

Egypt seems to be reverting to the Mubarak-era status quo. There is a popular movement afoot to have al-Sisi run as the next president. Meanwhile, opposition (brotherhood) figures still remain detained, their TV stations closed, and the latest development is that non-state sanctioned clerics are banned. All quite Nasserite.
In other words: those who opposed the brotherhood on ideological grounds, and vowed for the old deep state never to return...they lost.
