Re: What’s everyone wearing for Eid
haha, This thread is from last year, from last Eid and now it is continued for the upcoming eid. Since Noname00 has started this again let me bring my two cents into it. This is my second eid with my hubby. Last year was nice but kinda dull. Last year I was at work and got off early and came home to catered food and it was just me, my hub, and his friend. We live in the city so hence a car is a no no for now. We use the train and buses to get around even though we both have our licenses. We may get a car by next year but not sure. Maybe this time I’A we will go to the mosque..I don’t have any new clothes. The only new one I got after my weding were these two hot saris but those are with my mum and even if I had them I wouldn’t know how to wear them. If I had lots of money I would buy and wear one of these four for Eid:
^ With a much smaller gala (neckline)
^ I loove this traditional style and wouldn’t change a thing
I am not getting these above outfits made but these are my top choices for upcoming Eid if I could get them made. Good luck on starting your Eid shopping early to ensure you get the best outfit. (especially newly married women ..sigh if only I could do last eid allover again I would have dressed up but its hard in an area I don’t know many people..oh well..maybe this time)
Re: What's everyone wearing for Eid
hmm. im wearing dark blue and turqoise colored shalwar kameez. Bought them 2 yrs ago i think in lahore readymade, so just need a little fitting! Next yr inshallah i will buy lots of new clothes, nd hopefully anarkali joras if possible lol. :D
Re: What's everyone wearing for Eid
^lucky you..yay! I'll just wear one of my nice old joras,I'A we will see how it goes. *I would rather save the money I could spend on a jora towards a nice trip with my hubby. After our wedding we have not been anywhere..yet..and I would love to travel the world with my best friend, my hubby that is!
hi guppies i’m thinking of getting this made for eid. But i’m bit confused if it will look nice or not.
i had something like this made except at the bottom i added a pink jamawar border with motifs going around it it came out really prettttttty!!!

Haha yea.. i usually buy a few extra joras, cuz PK clothes arent really available here. Some places do, but too expensive! so its better that way :D
Im sure you will be fine with that jora! Good luck :)
Re: What's everyone wearing for Eid
Thanks HNK.. I am going to be wearing one of my old joras. By old I mean joras I have had even before I got married. I have yet to get jehez from my MIL but I don't expect much when I I'A will go to see her in beginning of November. She is such a sweet woman that I don't care what she gives me. I have some nice joras my Mom bought me when I was in HS and I don't mind wearing one of those. They are nice and I may have worn them many times but I have to think positively. Some people never get new joras and have to rely on hand me downs. I appreicate whatever little Allah has blessed me with. The best thing on Eid will be being with my husband. I hear this time Eid I'A may be on a Sunday so I shall go to masjid with hubs.

I am not 100% sure if Eid ul fitr will be on a Sunday but it maybe. I searched it online. It all depends on the moon sighting. Any who, spending Eid with loved ones is the best kind of Eid but this Eid like last will be away from my family. Bu now my hubby is my family so I *will *be with family in a way..It would be better if it were on a Saturday but Sunday is okay too. I prefer Saturday cuz the next day is another choohti (sunday) and if its Sunday then I can't stay up late b/c of work the next day. Lets just let Ramadan come first and then think about it. Ramadan is almost a month away..
