whats coffee flavored liqueur

Is it alcohol? I know chocolate liqueur isnt alcohol so I was wondering about the coffee one

If yes > if a cake recipe [tiramisu] calls for it, what can it be substituted with?

Thanks!

Re: whats coffee flavored liqueur

You can buy non-alchoholic mixes (Kahula might have one) and use them

Re: whats coffee flavored liqueur

you can just make espresso and use that instead of the liqueur for your tiramisu

^ Sorry wrong spelling, actually I meant chocolate liquor not liqueur. The former is simply smooth liquid chocolate without any alcohol. The latter is chocolate flavoured liqueur

Thats what I said

Re: whats coffee flavored liqueur

ive made tieramasu many times and so many people think its bought from somewhere, In fact my fiance and his freinds love it so much i had to make 3 whole trays.
this is how i make it ill try to make it later on and will post pictures of it, but for now i have too much sweets in the fridge and definately can not afford all those extra calories.

depending on how many servings ur making
buy about 2 packs of marie or maria cookies. (u can use any cookies i prefer those)
2 cans of nestle creme
2 bags of dream whip
1 cup cofee without the milk
1 flan or custard mix( there are many different brands and each brand taste different the best one is the GOYA brand Flan which can be found at any american grocery store.

Start off by getting a square pan or tray..the shape comes out nicer in a sqare pan.

get the flan mix, nestle creme and dream whip and mix them together till you a get a pale yellowish mixture.

lay the maria cookies into the pan i usually make two or three layers in the bottom. Pour the nestle flan and whip mixture in just enough to cover the cookies. then add another layer of cookies.

it depends up to u how many layers of cookies u want and how big ur pan is.

im not sure if the recipe made sense or not. but if any thing u can ask me and ill let u know

^^when do you put the coffee

Re: whats coffee flavored liqueur

ohh yea OMGOSH sorry thts the most important part. ok soak the cookies in the cofee and then layer them !
sorry

Shouldn’t you use mascarpone cheese in the tiramisu? Also Kahlua has liquor?:hypo:
Butwhatever you do, make sure you use REALLY good coffee for it.
