get any job that will bring in some money but won’t help in the long term? (ie jobs that are out of your field, dead-end, or only temporary)…
-
keep your focus only on a job in your field and just be patient?
On one hand, I firmly believe in halal rizq…that one should not be too snobby or proud to do something as long as it is halal.
But on the other hand, I personally feel that I have wasted many years in “easy” jobs that were just to chase paychecks (which went up in flames as soon as I got em :p)
The latter may seem like an obvious choice for someone whose young and just out of college, and doesn’t have to support a family, but I’m more familiar with the first situation.
Just curious as to what you all think?

hahaaa..y what did u do?..lol
Career .... Just focus on making your career. It's very important thing and my top preference. Always think long term and you'll certainly be benefitted. One of the downside is that you'll hv to be patient and may make secrifices on money initially
Re: What's better?
You can stick to number 1 and still move up in the company by applying your schooling and mostly what you will learn through experience. A job doesn't neccesarily have to be in your specific field to be considered a good and stable job for the long term. You just have to pick out a job that has opportunity for advancement. Especially in a situation where you have to support a family, you do whatever it takes (any decent job) and improve. The rest leave it to Allah.
Re: What's better?
Option 1 is better. Think long-term. Concentrate on your career and try to master your skills. With full commitment and sincerity you'll end up getting better rewards Insha Allah . It's better to have a decent paying job for some good 10-20 years than to have a high pay but short life/period jobs.
