I am sure it varies by what place in that area we are talking about, but let’s say a general sample. Any common dishes that an uncultured desi like me would know about? I already know about Chum Chum.
I am quite surprised that there are tens of thousands of bengalis in Karachi, yet I never saw a Bengali restaurant there. Or maybe I didn’t look hard enough.

i had a bengali friend and she ate lots of rice, fish, and achar (i think thats how u spell it).

they have this watery daal which is khatti...it tastes so good! and lotsa fish and rice...their other foods are similar to paki but less spicy.

You've probably eaten bengali influenced food without realising it as most indian restaurants (at least those in england are anyway) are run by chefs of bengali ethnicity.
