Lastknigtess, you need to realize that no matter how hard you try, you will not appeal to everyone you meet or in your circumstances to this guy.
It simply comes down to self-confidence, those who have it, succeed...those who don't, do not. Period.
Why don't you just try the honest approach and says what's on your mind in a confident manner, rather than trying to think what to say.
