No offence, but if you REALLY want him, you are loathing (hence desperate for him). People can sense that, they will take you for granted. You have to be normal, don't do anything for him unless you would do it for another good friend. If there is ever a question of doing something nice or not doing. Always choose NOT! ... thats a start

We had chat about this actually and he did say “so you’re okay with leaving the kids with a maid or something?”
I was like :-O…I said…I’ll go back to workin when the kids go back to school..till then I’ll stay at home..
BUT..PCG…you are right…they do expect that from you…
You know…i really like this guy..that’s why i can’t seem to help myself…I do appear normal..but yeh once in a while I do special things for him…but that’s just me…i do special stuff for my best friends every now and then…espec when I think they deserve a lil pampering…that’s just me…
Him however…i’d pamper every day…as for ignoring him or playin games…I can’t do that with him…he just mens too much to me..I’m not trying to capture him…I wish he’d like me…but somewhere deep down I fear that he doesn’t…I dunno..it’s wierd I just enjoy making him happy, seeing him smile…

You lot make it sound so complicated...when it simply isn't.
Lastknigtess, you need to realize that no matter how hard you try, you will not appeal to everyone you meet or in your circumstances to this guy.
It simply comes down to self-confidence, those who have it, succeed...those who don't, do not. Period.
Why don't you just try the honest approach and says what's on your mind in a confident manner, rather than trying to think what to say.

Explanation: This is a supply-demand game, and men have the upper hand simply because men and women have been trained to believe–thanks to our patriarchal system, whcih however, is changing–that men chase women and not the other way round. Armed with this, men play the numbers game and ask out women indiscriminately, while simultaneoulsy learning how to handle rejections (those who can’t are politely labeled geeks, nerds and fall to the bottom rung of social darwinism and breed with misfits). Men know that if they ask out long enough, some one will repond, and someone always does repond. That’s why construction workers hoot and holler. They are playing the numbers game.
Women hold out and wait for the men to come to them. They know about playing the numbers game too, but they cant play it, cuz they are not allowed to. Men work in a liquid market, while women work in an illiquid one. So, treating a man like shyt will only make the urge to move on to the next women stronger. It is that simple.
