A light diffusing or light reflecting concealer does exactly what it's name implies.. reflects light and draws attention away from pigmentation and scars.

Are you talking about products like YSL Touché Eclat, or Dior Skinflash?

If so, then these are best used under the eyes, or to add radiance to the face (highlight the brow bone etc). For scars, spots etc, it is better to use a "flat" concealer that matches your skin tone, as a light reflecting concealer will only draw attention to these flaws!

ok the two bits of advice there, just confused me....

A light reflecting concealer hides under-eye dark circles as well as acne marks by reflecting light.

I find that a light reflecting concealer works well on under-eye dark circles and an opaque pigmented one works better on acne scars.
