Just guessing:
Ave : approx. 3000/rp for ave worker.
Good would be about 10-15000/month. ?

A decent salary for a fresh grad/post grad from Pakistan would be Rs.15,000-Rs. 25,000.
A decent salary for an experienced (min 5 years) grad/post grad from Pakistan would be Rs. 40,000 with at least 1 major fringe benefit, eg, car.
A foreign qualified person with the above qualifications would be able to get an average of 15,000-50,000 more than the above rates, depending on his experience and university.
Chemical engineers have limited scope in Pakistan, but then again, its more about being at the right place at the right time.
The above salary rates are obviously with private companies. With government jobs, only highly qualified (min Phds) stand to make decent money. Others will be paid according to the pay scale.

It wa just that i was looking to move from the Uk to pakistan if the salaries were right, i dont think we are given enough opportunities here in the UK

depends on your profession.
rizwan, if you can target ICI/Engro/P&G and other mncs etc you can expect to get very attractive salaries. I believe ICI in particular hires experienced chemical engineers and pays them well.

ICI pakistan, or Rupali polysters, BASF Pakistan. there are many other chemical industries you can get into but these will pay better.
GSK, nestle, dewan sulman, sitara chemicals etc
most forign graduates get more pay than Pakistani graduates, most oftenly with company car if you working for the right multinational or a nice Pakistani company.
major sectors are Textiles, Chemicals, Ploysters and fibres, and Pharmaceuticals.
if you want some exciting stuff you can also try nuclear facilities i.e, KRL , PINSTEC or Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission.

if you want to get in to chemical research, the best chemical research centre is HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry http://www.hej.edu.pk/
also goverment funded PCSIR (Pakistan Council of Scientific & Industrial

For the fresh graduate i think 10,000 pm and as he gets the xpiereice the pay will also get better
