What You Gave

You may not know how much you gave,
so let me tell you now.
In all the years I have lived
from the day of meeting you,
You have been the strength and drive
that’s fills my heart and gets me through.
If able to express my thoughts to you
without inhibition,
I would tell you how afraid and lonely
I’ve been without you
But then again, there is this sense
of presence you are near,
Even though I cannnot see you,
you are here.
May you know in all your trials,
you have me by your side.
In spirit, in truth, with unconditional love
in whatever sense it means to you.
In the aspects of my life,
you are a daily thought
and wonderful in every way,
So, in case you didn’t know,
the most cherished moments to me,
you gave.
