Live in a small, cramped space that costs ALOT of money? but the neighobrhood is nice.
OR
live in a pretty big and decent place for a decent place but the neighborhood is awful? or well has a bad reputation?

live in a pretty big and decent place but the neighborhood is awful…no social gathering … no out door life … ![]()
Re: What would you rather have
I can't do small cramped spaces, so I would live in the big place. Just keep yourself to yourself.
Re: What would you rather have
Can't stand bad neighbors so yeah...I can live in a small place.

Re: What would you rather have
small house...the bigger the house the more cleaning required.
Re: What would you rather have
My choice would be the bigger house....but if that area is notorious because of high crime rate I might choose the smaller one.
Re: What would you rather have
Hmm good answers!
so u think it's worth it to live in a not-so-great area but in a nice place...hmmm
Re: What would you rather have
none, cuz they both will cost me the same.

First one.

Thats what I am doing right now because I have kids they need good schools, protection so no choice left.
Re: What would you rather have
You do not want to rasie your kids in a bad neighborhood. Do you ?
Re: What would you rather have
Bad neighborhood wouldn't be safe.
Safety before anything.
I would set up the crampy place in a very sheek modern way (the furniture with this style is less clunky and makes space look bigger).

Exactly.
Re: What would you rather have
It depends on whether there are kids involved - the schools that you'd want them to attend and whether there would be safety issues and bad influences around the neighborhood. we decided on a small handyman special house which was still pretty expensive where we bought because the schools are stellar and its a very nice, safe town . We could have gotten so much more house in a less expensive area but kids concerns made the choice for us.
Re: What would you rather have
Well mostly big and decent places are surrounded by good neighbourhood !
how come its other way around ?
Re: What would you rather have
Actually, it does sound backwards doesnt it? But thats really not the case. If you have say 1500 dollars per month to spend on just the house/apartment, you can get a very small place in a nice neighborhood. Go to a lesser neighborhood and you'll get a bigger, nicer place but not such a nice area. Spend that amount in a bad neighborhood or a neighborhood thats out in the boondocks somewhere and you can get a palace.
Re: What would you rather have
how about those areas that were originally ghettos but became nicer. (okay I know alot of the opposite, nice nabes that became ghettos), any examples of em?
Re: What would you rather have
I would choose a small place with good neighborhood. Safety comes first!!
