** What would You rather have??**

Pak announcing both Shaoib and Asif in WC squad and taking a chance of them getting caught in the ICC’s random testing, and getting banned for life(very likely)

or

Pak announcing that Both are unfit to be part of WC, Not taking them to WC, instead waiting as long as it takes for their bodies to get purified and them include in any Pak’s squad.

I wouldnt be surprise if PCB goes with 2nd option and not pick them up for WC and then making sure that both contine to play for Pak in future. If it was only shoiab then i would have cared less and would have wanted him to be pickedup for WC(coz he atbest have 2 seasons in him) but Asif seems like only great aspect for Pakistan Bowling line up in near future(Gul is Injury prone, but i am not trying to make him look likaa lesser bowler.) and risking asif by playing him in WC and then quite possibly losing him forever, seems likaa risk PCB wouldnt take.

Second option - absolutely.

I think PAK could do ok with a team of:
(When Afridi is not available): Hafeez, Imran, Younis, Yousaf, Inzi, Malik, Razzaq, Akmal, Rana, Gul, Rao (sorry no choice but to keep him).

Once Afridi is availabale then:
Akmal, Imran, Younis, Yousaf, Inzi, Malik, Afridi, Razzaq, Rana, Gul, Rao. As far as I am concern, Kaneria is just with the team for free trip to Caribean, Inzi is very defensive captain. He will even wish if he could place Rao and Gul for someone like Azhar who could bat more.

I think, both are a bit better; “unfit” is a cover for the drug test to provide them time as long as they can before doing the drug test; I know it is the biggest risk if they are tested positive they will be gone forever, but without naming them you cannot take them as a part of WC 07 squad. PCB will make sure they are not tested positive for sure, otherwise all the efforts of this injury make up will go in gutter. Having said that I’ll take option 2, I still believe both are asset for Pakistan and many guppies have written shoaib off, but I still think he has a year or more left in him. he is only 31 and I think with proper care he can extend his playing career for 1 year and half, and it will be just about the right time to find a bowler who can support Asif, Rana and Gul.

I still think that Rao can fill the supporting bowler gap well but :rolleyes: abhi saab guppies apnae churiyaan taayez karlaye gaye. :bummer:
