As a supporter of your respective team, what would you prefer:

Winning the Word Cup or

Clean sweeping Australia in Australia (e.g., 3-nil in tests and winning the triangular trophy)

I don't think any of the current test sides is capable of achieving the latter let alone beating Australia 1-0 in Australia so winning the world cup given the chance and unpredictability factor of the limited overs games is the only viable option here.

It is very hard to choose. We have already won the world cup but we have never won a test series in Australia, so I would say 3-0 whitewash of Australia would be sweeter.

Better to be realistic and say that it is not possible to white wash Australia in their present form.
But whatever it is, it is great to win the world cup than winning against an individual team.

Beating Austrailia any day. We have won WC and we can lift it again in any future tournament. We have not beat Austrailia in Austrailia, so that would be some achievment.

beating australia in australia is more of an achievement in both forms of the game than winning the world cup because world cup is often decided by luck rather than effort and ability...good teams lose, bad teams win.in australia only the best can win.

I don’t care about a solitary test series win, a WC has its own legacy and is always remembered. Besides, if we lose the next series all will be forgotten. Just like how many people remember England’s Ashes win oh not so long ago. :hehe:

Let it be known that white-washing Australia in their own backyard is no less of an accomplishment than winning the World Cup, perhaps even greater in this day and age especially when the thought-process is focused on being at a higher psychological level than your opponent, making it nearly impossible to get to. World Cup is simply an enhanced version of one-day cricket; same taste, different wrapper. I opt for the former.
