What Would You Do?

I have a friend who has a skin condition known as eczyma. For those who dont know, its like a skin rash. It comes and goes in different areas. She is trying to get married & is not sure if this is something she should disclose to the other family or just to the guy or anyone at all. Shes just afraid that they will say no because of it or they will treat her different OR even spread it around that she has the problem. I havent told her what to do, but i think maybe she should tell the guy she is planning to marry.

**SO WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK SHE SHOULD DO??? **

er is it that bad?

Is he gonna tell her all his medical ailments? Are they jahil? why is she marrying a man who is stupid?

Eczyma is not a serious disease and I think it is very hard to give it to someone else. No need to mention it. Has he mentioned about his joke itch he probably has?

u know i kind of have the same problem too. I havent' exactly thought about it either what I should or shouldn't do. But on Islam Q&A.com or somethng, there'sa question frm a grl who has diabetes and is wondering if she should tell her fiance. Well, the imam told her that unless it's the life-threatening and serious form of diabetes (there's two types) then she should tell him. Else, if it's not a big problem then there's no need to ask.

thanx for your comments hiccup, TeenDabbyWala, & Sara516

i know its seems kind of funny, but i have recieved mixed answers when i ask such questions. since the Eczyma will be apparent in the marriage & does affect her daily life (scratching etc) some people say she should tell them.

** sara** I asked a sheikh once, & he told me something to the effect that if it affectst he marriage it should be disclosed. but how will you know if it affects the marriage... if u r unmarried how would u know?????

do you think that anyone would be upset if they found out their spouse had something similiar or allergies.... to me it seems like weird to tell someone your medical history

tell the guy. Trust and being honest with ur sig other is very important. And trust is a fragile thing, if lost once it can never be fully restored. Cuz if uve hidden something from me once, how do i know u wont hide sthing again?
