what would you do if...

…you are trying to learn to become something in a certain field, and you have to learn the job in an actual work environment, and your diploma depends on how well you learn the job, but your colleagues all have different rules and views on how to do the job? One person tells you according to the rules you’re supposed to do it this way, while the other person says that is the wrong way, and you can’t even always ask the first person which is the right way, because that first person is on vacation… Then comes the third person who also has a very different opinion, and one of these goofs is supposed to give you your marks at the end of the learning period…

Re: what would you do if...

oh well, I talked to a friend, and then I thought about it, and I just decided to do nothing about it, never mind. I'll just try the best I can and the rest is up to Allah. :)

If I pass I pass, if I fail I fail. I think the best thing to do is, what we used to do at home as kids, when my Mom was home, we would do things her way, according toher rules, when my Dad was home, we would do things his way. :-D

Hm, I wonder what I should do if everyone is present, lol

Re: what would you do if…

this is pretty much the case in most apprenticeship programs and also co-op jobs where the responsibility and reporting procedures aren’t formalized too well. The best thing is to try and keep your immediate boss happy while balancing everyone else who’s a potential influencer in the ultimate decision. It isn’t always easy but you need to be diplomatic. It helps to have written correspondences about stuff in case you’re ever in a totally antagonistic situation between two seniors.

I know this is very “General” advice, but Good luck with everything :k:
