Happy Independence day for the country in which we currently live our lives. America, as a country is home to its immigrant citizens and residents. it’s govt may not be kind and fair, but the link between the land and the immigrant citizens is strong and does not need to be hidden.
in the spirit of being not thankless and being caring about America, please share what would you like to do for America representing yourself as loyal and caring citizen who means well for America? it could be a work you want to do for community or nation buidling through your field of work, or changing something in the American society, for better?
I do not know. The most important thing for us to do is probably making sure that all the pre-conceived notion about us and our culture back home are abolished. What can be the ways to accomplish that? There may be many different things that we can do individually. Collectively, we have to first organize ourselves.... Recent events in Washington were very hopeless incidents regarding the general behaviour of our people.
absolutely well said. it will make life alot more easier if people recall that when they participate in a public gathering, they are representing their original identityand so they should be mindful of being careful about it and not do anything which can allow other people to degrade the identity or presume stereotypes about it.
