In terms of the annual property taxes, it depends on which municipality you live in. In Toronto it would be $3,528 CAD.

Sounds like the same payments just with different titles. Council Tax here also varies depending on your Local Authority, for example, what you pay for a 1 bed flat in London would be the same as a 3-4 bed house in other parts of the country.
