What that would be?Indeed would there be such a thing? If yes ,what that will be made of?Apart from statements like only god will know, why do we have so much limitations to figure out the boundary of this universe?Technological incapabilities?Somesay this universe is never ending and it has got no boundaries. Then definitely we will have extraterrestrial creatures or even humans at one point of the world.Because it is hard to believe that we are the only creatures in this world.
But again what would be the final point and where it would be,of the universe?
Well. there are many theories that have been proposed in regards to universal boundaries. I personally believe in the Universe expansion theory. We have come to know that all galaxies are accelerating away from each other, the distances are increasing as proven by studying their frequencies. Our universe is forever expanding/exploding since the Big Bang it appears. Now, what's outside of that explosion makes a good question. There's no way to answer that as matter never existed before big bang unless you want to believe in parallel universes theory. We can only imagine the universe in 3 dimensional state. The universe could have multiple dimensions, we just can't imagine it! The universe could be warped or curved in a way that it has no end. You could also say that Cosmic microwave background radiation engulfed the cosmos as it cooled off.
There's so much to imagine, isn't there? You can believe whatever you like, when no one's right, everyone's right!
has anyone seen that program "Known Universe" on NatGeo?
It really talks about the subject from both POVs, and is really interesting with the kind of possibilities they talk about.
the last episode i saw was about spacetime. It's incredible, the idea of being able to bend the fabric of the universe, create tunnels, and time capsules through the vaccuum, and how you can go from one point to another in a shoter time, and covering lesser distance if you go through such an object.
ofcourse these are just studies based on existing formulas and possibilities, nothing concrete yet. but oh well. i firmly believe in all the crazy people and their ideas, since they'll be reality tomorow. if not in the near future, then most definitely in the distant future.
reject no ideas! woohooo
You answered your own question Arleitter, universe is like a balloon, it has no boundary. Theoritcally, if you look straight ahead using an ultra powerful telescope, you can see the back of your head as light will travel around the universe (just like the dare devil motorcycle rider inside the sphere of death) and come back to the same point.
if you make small dots on the surface of a balloon with markers, once you start inflating the balloons, those dots will start expanding and the distance between them start increasing. That is what is happening, galaxies are moving away from each other cause our universal balloon is still inflating.
Also, there are many theories about what this universe in expanding into? I cant answer that however the word 'expansion' is little misleading. Space is just creating itself and hence universe in growing. Its not growing into anything, we are not part of a bigger universe, however we can be one universe out of a multiverse system where each universe is separate from each other.
