What would be a proffesional way..

.. to ask a company if they could provide me training.. in some department.. where i would not care if they pay me or not.. i just need the experience. :konfused:

should i just say it as it is.. or use some i dunno fancy office words or somin :konfused:

Re: What would be a proffesional way..

I think the term “provide me training” won’t work. Employers are usually interested in “what YOU can offer to them”.

Also, employers kinda feel insecure when there are no legal sign-ups, and thus allowing an outsider to work is no good. Other alternative term used is volunteer work, which may become bit easier in case if u have any contacts/references in that company. Usually not-for-profit organizations allow for volunteer work; i’m not very sure about businesses.

If you’d give more details like your field, type of ur target company etc., may be someone could give you better suggestions.

Re: What would be a proffesional way..

according to my exp. i think the only professional way is the direct one. just keep in mind to make them feel important as if they are doing you a favor and especially that u have the motivation and the skills to meet their requirements .. wish you all the best.

bye the way do you have any contact of pd.. pagaldeewani or rss hope you can help me too bro .

hmmm… :hmmm:

how do u know that i know PD :konfused: i do sorta have contact with her still..

Re: What would be a proffesional way..

You might want to start with asking about opportunities for on-the-job training and mentoring programs that might be in place, and pave your way to asking about formal training and development initiatives that the organization might offer.

Overall, make sure that you have a strong case and can justify the need for training by outlining not only the learning outcomes for yourself in terms of your own performance on the job but also how that would translate into organizational benefits.

I know this might be very general advice but you have to sort of map it to your own situation. If you tell us more about the position, the type of training you seek, and your reasons for seeking it, then someone may be able to help a little better.

Cheers.

Re: What would be a proffesional way..

A round about way to sell your services for free is through contracting firms. Contact a local recruiter who works in your field and offer your services at low cost. Typically if recruiter can make larger profit by placing you on a contract position, they will sell your services even when there is not a good match. The end result is that you gain valuable experience and network.
