Why do parents do this? I can understand setting smaller conditions…but why place life-altering conditions on your child…where if things don’t work out, it’s your child and not YOU (the parents) that will suffer most. Not even your child…but someone else’s son and daughter as well. It’s selfish to place such a demand and in a way it’s selfish to fulfill it when your heart’s not into it…cuz you’re giving little to no consideration to the feelings of the person you’ve resigned yourself to marry and how your lack of interest will affect their life. Yes, I understand that parents want to see their kids settled down during their life-time…but if you impose something that you son/daughter does not want…you’ve crossed over to the next world…and your child is the one dealing with an undesired situation. Why isn’t it seen from that perspective? You can argue that feelings might develop later…but what if they don’t?

exactly this is wht i meant that wht if they dont get along n separate afterwards its better not 2 force any1
