AOA,
I am a graduate. I live in Karachi I have 2 years of experience in American Express Bank (in sales field) than I switched to Mobilink where i worked 3 years. than I worked with two private organizations, every time when I switched one question has frequently asked by employer, why you want to switch or why you are leaving/ left your job? right now I am jobless and preparing for expected interviews.
My question is, what is the right answer of this question? please help!!
Re: What will be the best answer of it?
Though I'm no HR expert, but I think it would depend on whether you left your previous company or if it was the other way around...
presuming that you did not leave your last job on your own accord, you can simply say that your last company scaled down their operations due to recession or something..... and if you left your previous employer for a legitimate reason, simply mention that (without being too vindictive, of course ).
and if none of these seem right, then you can always come up with some universally acceptable excuse like.... I hit an invisible ceiling there... my employers expected me to compromise on my values...something on these lines....
Try Google for sample answers and then customize them to suit urself..
sorry wasn’t too helpful but try it n see anyways..

Thanks
Re: What will be the best answer of it?
The standard here is…
I need a new challenge;
I want to learn new things and I think your company will provide me with that platform.
although, its always the money which is the motive…![]()
Re: What will be the best answer of it?
I need new challenging position, where I would perform on senior position.
Re: What will be the best answer of it?
There is no one cookie cutter answer for this question.
If you are being interviewed for a senior or better position then you were earlier then
" need new challenging position, where I would perform on senior position."
Is one of the good answers.
If you are being interviewed for same position you are in and you are coming from a small and unstructured company and going for a big and well managed company. You can say that you would love to work for a well managed and structured company.
So here you go , you have to suit your answer to the situation. You can come up with the scenarios and answer yourself if you follow this rule.
You should always be able to judge what kind of answer is being expected , then answer accordingly. You have to ask yourself what kind of answer would I like to hear if I was interviewing a potential job seeker.
