You are pursuing a career or an education path to ultimately pursue a career. What was the reason behind your career choice ? You have a role model for example your father is a doctor and you want to be a doctor. You like listening to music so you want to create some good music etc , etc.
Re: What were the factors behind your career choice.
My reason for choosing my career I don't know why when I was in kindergaten I use to like teachers. Still too impressed by teacher.
So I did become teacher.
Teacher is my role model.
My father wanted to make me doctor But I didn't so I didn't do that much mehnat in intermediate to get a grade to get admission in medical. I did lots of stupid things for that. When I think about that it makes me laugh.
Re: What were the factors behind your career choice.
I am the first person in my family who has chosan that field. Noone suggested me to go for it. I am inspired by All the good writers and Journalists with Spontaneous comments.
Re: What were the factors behind your career choice.
I couldn't see myself anywhere else besides medicine. I told my friend once, in the frustration of medical school application process, that if I don't get in, I'll just be a housewife. :D
Looking back, my nana was a doctor, but he passed away when I was 4 years old.
Re: What were the factors behind your career choice.
I am studying to be a dentist because most of my family members are in medical field so i have a lot of help and information/motivation already...they are all regular doctors so i thought it's only best i become a specialist in something (also i hate plp with bad teeth if they can help it) i know not very intresting way to pick a career but i like it

Even with out a job I will still have interest working on it.

Re: What were the factors behind your career choice.
I was really good in Physics and I wanted to be a Phd and teach University students in Pakistan. But my mom who were a very forceful woman mashaAllah, Allah un ko jannat naseeb kare, she said Physics has no money in it and forced me to do Computer Engineering because it was a fad at that time. I say ok mom and I did what she told me. What she said was true and alhumdillah I worked in the largest of companies in the world. :)
But can’t you see mom that I am tired of roaming all over the world. :(
