I think its always one of the memorable day for all of us ( at least for me it is) and I can still relate to the feeling off and on .Its not a good one.
My mom home schooled me in my early years , so no nursery for me or lower kinder garden.I joined in upper kinder garden. Mommy came to drop me off to classroom and when she was about to leave I ran back to her because I was scared:teary1: . Then my mommy told me she would wait down there so I dont have to worry. I dont know if she waited or not but during the lunch break she was there. (our home was pretty close, so close that we could hear the bell ring) .
and and the next day a girl thought I dropped her bag .I DIDNT and she slapped me ( a tiny pat may be with her tiny hands) .Stupid girl.hmphh.
i cried SO MUCH.. oh my god.. we lived in a compound in arabia and we had our own school right there in teh compound.. so it wasnt even like i was in the middle of nowhere in a totally new neighbourhood...
yet i bawled my eyes out. it didnt help that my bro was in the opp room.. i still cried the place down...
the next day mom tells me i begged my kid bro to stay with me .. he was only 14 months :D and he did. they kept him. he LOVED it and thats how he started at daycare.. so that i would go to pre k :D
history repeated itself.. my son took a yr to settle down at his school. unfortunately he didnt have a sibling to negotiate with :D
I wouldn't let go of my mum's peach coloured dupatta so the teacher bribed me with the role play area, it was a doctors surgery. I dressed up as a nurse, my mum went home, I cried until they took me to nursery where my cousin was and I showed her my nurses uniform. I remember going to nursery to see my cousin for quite a while after that, I was always dressed up as a nurse. I think I thought that was the routine. Go to school, dress up as a nurse, go to see my cousin. Job done, learnt lots!
I think if the parents panic, the child does. Iv had to bribe so many children and they are actually quite easy to bribe, its the parents that start crying!
Its too far back in time for me besides I never went to school till most of the other boys in my age range were a couple of classes above me. I do remember hating English lessons and always getting into fights with older boys and especially getting into trouble for skipping lessons or shooting people with my catapult or sling.
i dont remmber exactly, wht i was very happy gng to school, n my mum used to tell me even on holidays n weekend i used to get ready to go to school bc i loved my schoolso much :)
My first day of school story is pretty lame, but SO's first day of school included a tuxedo, bow and everything :D. Donno what his Mamma was thinking but it's hilarious. He said he remembers being really hot under his tux :D
I was 2.5 yrs old. I remember crying all the way to school. Then the teacher of the class put sat me with the boys a) because I was wearing a boys uniform as I refused to wear the girls one b) I had boy cut hair..Then she called out my name and I stood up and she goes "oh you are a girl" and moved me to the girls side of the class.
But one thing I remember about kindergarten, I had an issue with staying in my seat. We played “7-UP” and when someone touched my thumb, rather than keep my head down, I looked up at the person with the most angry look ever and yelled “what’s your problem! Leave my thumb up!”
And once, the teacher was “teaching” and… Not only was I not listening, but I skipped clear across the room to my friend’s desk and took his crayons. My teacher asked me why I did it and I said “because coloring is more fun than listening to boring stuff.” :sid:
My mama had taught me the alphabets and how to read by the time I was 4
no rona dhona for me, i had the awesome day but the end result wasn’t as great . I achieved almost everything in that one particular day, a student can achieve in his whole academic carrier
