My question is whether extra spending on animals make your sacrifice more acceptable to God, when His people are living in bad condition. One of our Bohri boss used to say that people should donate money (used for Qurbani) to help needy people instead of wasting (yes he use wasting) it on rituals.
Many people get angry after hearing these comments, but he got a valid point. When show off surrounds your ibadaat, then people will develop resentment for such acts.
