well i never spoke or met my FIL, what i heard about him from my parents and his family is all nice.
Actually he died in an road accident after we had fixed the wedding date, couple of months before the marriage. What he has done nice I guess he engaged his daughter without meeting me, only trusting my family and friends.

Unfortunately I never got to know my Father-in-law very well becaue he passed away a month after our wedding. But the few times that our parents met, they were so impressed by him that they finalized our rishta just because his father was such a good man.

^ yeah and they say "as the father as the son".:)

My parents were also impressed by my FIL overall attitude towards my MIL.... and my FIL is a very successful self-made man.

I am happy with mu hubby attitude towards me but still looking for that success in his life cuz i am a true believer of the above saying. :D

Re: what was the most sweet and loving thing did your FIL do for you???

My FIL is most masoom (and be-charra) banda I have ever met ... u know who rules :)

i havnt spent much time with my FIL but he is nice. Wen i went to pak, i helped in the kitchen and he would keep calling me to come out of kitchen and not do anything. he would want me to sit with him and discuss about the family house he is building.

but my mum’s FIL (my grandfather) is legend. he is so up to date, even though he is in his 70s. my grandmother is a typical MIL but he always stood for his DIL.
when he came to aus to meet us, he would watch zee music with us:biggthumb, when we drive he would let us Speed as much as we want, he eats burgers and french fries with us even in pakistan. he wants every day to be celebrated. our parents would always stop us from eating street food but he eats with us. his room is full of junk food:blush:
bascially he is today’s teenager and we love/adore him so much.

we always tell our parents that there is no generations gap between us and him but huge between our parents and us. he is so liberal minded and believes in no restrictions and would allow us do what we want.

he is a great person as FIL, as father and as granddad.
he is the only person for whom we call/talk to in our family. and he is the only person to look forward to when we go to pakistan.

when returning to aus during my last trip, he hugged me and started to cry and told me that this might be the last time i am seeing him (he is sick). i still remember that moment and will never forget.
