What was the best compliment you ever recieved?

“you look like a bollywood actor” :rotfl:, i didnt take it as a compliment but…

-a girl i liked at one time, I was really hopeful but reality pimp slapped me really hard and i fell flat on my face :frowning:

some things arent just meant to be :frowning:

I hope you don't receive compliment when he is around. Cuz if you do, he is not going to be around for long. :)
Self confidence is good, but it could turn in torture very quickly. :)

my 2 cents.

ok from one of my coworker which was sooooo sweet and i felttt soooo good..

" that would be the luckiest guy in the world who would marry Sheba’

i felt like flying..

My mom gives me compliments all the time but the one i loved"

is

Khuda tumhe itni khushiyan de ke tun age aur khushyann tumhare pichee bhage…

that brough tears in my eyes.:teary1:

I thing last one is dua. I think dua and compliment are different. Plz ppl enlighten me. If I’m wrong.

well the best compliment ever i got was by my husband

he said " yaar tum baywaqoof nahi ho bas aqal ki kami hai, lakin jitni aqal hai uss ko poora use kerti ho "

n i was like oh thanku so much :)
hehe

Re: What was the best compliment you ever recieved?

God:
"My job now is done"

LOLOL. He's right.

I have recieved many complements from my college teachers and khaalus and all my class fellows even from outsiders. but i dont think i deserve any complements.

my khaalo said to me that;

“Beta tum bohot azeem aur shareef insan ho tumhari soch bohot azeem hai lekin meri aik baat yaad rakhna keh jis tarah ki tumhari soch hai aur jo kuch tum kernay ja rahay ho, tum is muashray me ziada der zinda nahe reh saktay. kiunkay muashra bohot corrupt hai aur ye tumhein bhi maar dega kiunkay ab tum sirf khandan k ki jung lardnay nahe niklay bulkay Pakistan ki jung lardnay k liye nikal rahay ho.”

Similarly my all college teachers say me as “Philosopher of the College”.

Class fellows named me “Quaid-e-Azam of Future” and they also respected me very much which i dont deserved.

The rest of the people and ulema-e-deen named me “jamaaton ki jamaat(Collection of all tableeghi jamaats)”

The rest of frends also respect me a lot and say me a gentleman.

But i dont think so that i deserve these complements at all.

:bummer:

Re: What was the best compliment you ever recieved?

well i also had complements from a girl also who also likes me but i dont like her and she is my cousin too. but unfortunatly i never had complements so far to the girl whom i like. my class felow.

:(

she was so shy and she could never talked to me freely nor i also.

:(

I often received many compliments. One of the nicest things was, that someone liked my character and also that someone thought I was pretty, beautiful, hoor, whatever word you want it translated as.

In later years, I sometimes disliked being called pretty and beautiful, because some people kept saying it in a degrading way, "you're only beautiful, but you can't do anything else at all", things like that. "you're only beautiful, but you can't make this, you're good for nothing" and when I learnt to make it, then it was "you're only beautiful, but you can't do that, you're good for nothing" and when I learnt to do that, there was always a different excuse of making it sound negative. So for some time, when someone else called me pretty or beautiful to just because they meant it and were trying to be kind, it sometimes reminded me of the insulting way it was said by certain people, so it sometimes wasn't nice to be called pretty and beautiful. Who could have thought that people can even insult you with compliments?!

But I'm past that now. It doesn't bother me anymore when people compliment me nowadays. It's nice to get compliments. :)

From my hair dresser

Because I wear a hijaab, I don't get to 'show-off' my hair and according to my hair dresser, it's such a shame. She asked if ANY man can see my hair and I started off with dad, brother...and then said "May be even gay guys..becasue they wouldn't be attracted to me since I'm a woman". She said "Your hair would make a gay man turn straight".

From my Fiance
"My friend once told me that his Grandmother is Africa told him " Pray child...Pray, Pray that one day you will find a good woman. For life is worthless without a good woman." I never forgot that story he told me. And I think my prayers have come true. :)"

from my mate dave, “Bro, your fart smelled just like tandoori beryani we ate yesterday” Awesome!

Re: What was the best compliment you ever recieved?

It brought tears to my eyes.
